Tabbouleh is a traditional Lebanese dish. This parsley based salad is notoriously known in Lebanese cuisine. The lemon juice and mint brighten the flavors of the salad. The allspice gives the salad an earthy delicious taste.


5 tomatoes (I used Roma tomatoes)

4 green onions

1 onion

5 bunches of Italian parsley

2 tbsp of fresh chopped mint

1/2 cup of fine grain bulgur

1/2 cup of lemon juice

1/2 cup of olive oil

1/2 tsp of allspice

Salt to taste

Pepper to taste


  1. Soak the bulgur in lemon juice while preparing other ingredients.

  2. Wash and dry the parsley and mint in a clean cloth. Then finely chop the parsley and mint.

  3. Dice the tomatoes.

  4. Mince the onion and green onion.

  5. Combine all the ingredients into a bowl

  6. Prepare the dressing by mixing the lemon juice, bulgar, olive oil, allspice, pepper, and salt together.

  7. Toss the parsley, tomato, onion, green onion, and mint with the dressing and enjoy!
